  • Potato juice can be consumed by the kidney patients. It has the ability to remove the salt retention from the body and helps to reduce the kidney overload. It helps in maintaining the water and electrolyte balance in the body. Every day in empty stomach or anytime before the meals 200 ml of potato juice would have a beneficial effect on the kidneys.
  • Herbal vegetable tea: A healthy and renal tonic is this particular vegetable tea. Mostly people do not have the habit of consuming natural tea without tea leaves. This is very beneficial in case of kidney patients. Take equal amount of asparagus, celery, cucumber and parsley. Cut into large pieces and boil it in the water. Take 4 cloves of garlic cut into very small pieces and add to the boiling water. Let this mix boil for few minutes. In the mean time squeeze few drops of lime in a glass and add 2 teaspoons of honey in it. Now filter the water and add to the glass which contains lemon and honey.   • A simple herbal decoction of lemon leaves would also give a good relief for the kidney patients with urinary retention problem. This can also be prepared in the same way; honey can be added for the taste purpose.
  • Beet basil decoction: This is another powerful medicine for kidney patients. Beet leaves and basil should be taken and its decoction should be prepared separately. Then both should be mixed with honey and served to the patients. Once ounce per day would yield better results.
