Why should you get CPR Training?

Around 350,000 cardiac arrests take place outside the hospitals surroundings every year and more than 7 out of 10 cardiac arrests take place at home. Unluckily, half of the people fail to immediate CPR while waiting for an ambulance .So, if you are not trained in CPR, then you will be facing a lot of crisis. However, with the right CPR training, you can offer proper chest compression to the person to create some circulation of blood to the heart and brain till the medical help arrives.

If a person is not respond to you, when you tap them or wake them up and isn’t breathing normally rather gasping and struggling for breath, then the very step to take here is to call 9-1-1 instantly and ask someone to get an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Start with chest compression, push hard in the mid of the chest area to the lower half of the breastbone. With every push allow the chest to some back to its position and then re-push. Do this chest compression procedure till the time medical help comes and take over.

  1. Face drooping: See if one side of the face is numb or dropping. Ask the person to smile and see if it is even or not.
  2. Arm weakness: Find out if one arm is numb? Ask the person to raise both the arms one by one.
  3. Speaking problem: See if their speech is slurred or not. Find if the person is having trouble in speaking or not. Make them say a simple sentence.
  4. Once you have witnessed these symptoms, call 9-1-1. Even if the symptoms fade away, it is important to call medical professionals.

It is important to have heart start CPR training. With this training, you can at least revive a person till the medical support comes to you. It is a great way to save a life, when a person experiences heart attack, cardiac arrest or stroke.
